The Watcher And The Tower

I shot this photo in April 2006 and have shown this before at Fotocommunity, but I just felt like posting it here. I just received a 13x13 cm print of this image and it's really, really impressive even at this rather small size! The endlessly fine detail in this image never ceases to amaze me. I'm tempted to order this again in a much larger size, I guess it would look even better. Especially with the fine fabric structure I had added to the image. It doesn't really show that well in this somewhat small version. This would be the kind of image to order on high quality fine art paper in a size of 45x45 cm and put into a frame and on a wall.

And with the end of this year getting into reach, this reminds me that I have to collect my top photos of 2006 and put them up on the photosite.

What a beautiful view. I think it is very Gothic, especially with the gargoyle on the upper right. It just reminds me of Batman and Gothman City :-) I like the bush feel of the picture. It will make a great picture for a Calendar or hung in the living room with a white border black frame. Just stunning!

This is a really beautiful photo Toby, very artistic... Must be wonderful to see it in print!

The sepia-type tint gives that "old" feel to it... like it's taken out of a history book or something!
